Pam Ybarra
Wedding Planner & Event Director
Yes. I am obsessed with weddings and events. I eat, drink, breathe, sleep and dream about weddings. I know, get a life, right? I can’t imagine doing anything other than what I’m doing. It is my DREAM job. You know what they say…find what you love to do and it isn’t work…well, sort of!
I’ve been passionate about events my entire life. As a little girl, I was always planning something.
For my 21st and 22nd birthdays, I rented a hall, sold tickets to 200 people with the help of my friends — lined up 8 kegs of beer and a little wine and champagne! — hired a band and the CELEBRATION was ON! And the rest, as they say, is history.
The event planning carried on into each career move I made. It became crystal clear to me and my employers that I LOVED — LIVED for — events!
My career landed me in corporate events with an international corporation. An annual educational conference in Las Vegas and Florida evolved into clients coming from around the world, across the globe. Guest experience was paramount. The guest speaker line-up included NASA Astronauts, Olympic Gymnasts, Professional Football players, undersea explorers leading an expedition to the R.M.S. Titanic. I consider myself lucky and blessed to have met these extraordinary people and to have been a part of these once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
After a lengthy hiatus—providing caregiving to my ill father and elderly grandmother and raising my daughter– on July 31, 2015, after extensive research, soul-searching, and planning, I took out a business license and made Events, Etcetera my reality—a dream that first materialized many years ago.
From the top of Heavenly Valley overlooking the brilliant blue of Lake Tahoe, to the breathtaking vistas of the majestic Yosemite Valley, a Calistoga wedding on a family ranch overlooking the tranquil beauty and serenity of Mt. St. Helena, it has been my privilege and pleasure to have coordinated some truly unique and personal wedding day experiences and met some of the most incredible people in the process.
Here’s to you and to many more EXTRAORDINARY experiences and celebrations!
I LOVE what I do!
